Patrick W. Harland, Jr. takes great pride in providing his clients with
legal counsel they can rely on. Known for his meticulous attention to
detail and his clear and concise communication style, and his ability
to obtain the best possible outcome for his personal injury clients, Mr.
Harland leverages many years of experience in insurance defense, litigation,
and civil rights violations, all of which are brought to bear in his personal
injury work.
A seasoned litigator and personal injury lawyer, Mr. Harland has tried
cases in both State and Federal Court and is licensed to practice in Florida.
He has also been admitted to the U.S. District Court in and for the Middle
District of Florida.
Mr. Harland served with honor and distinction in the United States Coast
Guard from 1990-1992, serving aboard the Eagle, where he trained cadets
from the United States Coast Guard Academy. After serving his country,
Mr. Harland attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL, where he completed
a Bachelor of Arts degree and graduated Cum Laude.
Following his undergraduate studies, Mr. Harland was accepted to Stetson
University College of Law in St. Petersburg, FL, from which he graduated
in 1999. As a young attorney, he worked primarily in the field of insurance
and nursing home defense, defending some of the nation’s largest
nursing home chains in patient care liability suits. Mr. Harland also
defended physicians in healthcare cases brought by inmates who alleged
civil rights violations due to inadequate healthcare.
Mr. Harland currently devotes his time to personal injury cases that include
automobile and motorcycle accidents, nursing home abuse and neglect, medical
negligence, and many other types of injuries.
